Wilona Joy Blomberg

Wilona Joy Blomberg, affectionately known as Joy, made her peaceful transition on January 8, 2026, in  Chicago, IL. Born on March 25, 1944, to Peter and Evelyn Blomberg, both of whom preceded her in death, Joy's life was a testament to the warmth and vibrancy of human connection.

Joy was a cherished sister of the late George (late Dorothy) Postulka, the late Evelyn (late Ray) Hermes, the late Charles (Irene) Klaus, the late  Sharon (late Ronald) Erdman, and the late Lois (late Clifford) Spain. She also leaves a legacy of love as the aunt to many nieces and nephews, who will forever remember the joy she brought into their lives. Her heart was a boundless reservoir of affection for her family and friends, and she relished the simple delight of receiving mail from them, a testament to the deep bonds she cultivated throughout her life.

As we gather to celebrate her remarkable journey, her memory will be honored on January 13, 2026, at Kosary Funeral Home in Evergreen Park, IL, where loved ones will come together for visitation from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Joy's love and spirit will surely be felt in the hearts of those who knew her, and her legacy will continue through the laughter and stories shared among family.

Though Joy may have departed from this earthly realm, her essence lives on in the cherished memories held by all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her soul find eternal peace, and may we strive to carry forward the love and kindness she so generously shared.
