Mary Krafft

Mary Kraft, nee‘ Gavėnia
09.15.1932 – 10.01.2021
Mary died October 1st, 2021. She was born September 15 1932 in village Valuckai, Jurbarkas District, Lithuania, to Jurgis and Elzbieta Gavėnia, nee‘ Orentas.
Father Jurgis died in 1938. In 1941 Mother with 3 children left Lithuania for Germany.  Elzbieta Gavenia with her daughter Mary came to the US through Ellis Island in 1950 sponsored by her uncle. Mother died in 1978. Mary met and married Joseph Kraft in 1982 who died in 2010.
Since the arrival to Chicago, Mary was a member of Zion Lithuanian Lutheran Church. She sang in the choir. She was a member of Rūta Ladies‘ Society.
In in April of 2019 moved to Longmont, CO to be closer to her niece Audra Harders and her family.
Mary‘s death left grieving her niece Audra (Gary) Harders of Longmont CO, her caring neighbors, and relatives in Chicago and the area.
After the Funeral Service at the Church, her body will be burried at Bethania Cemetery until the resurrection of all believers...
