Manuel S. Perreira III, born on September 27, 1940, in Hilo, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, in Hazelcrest, Illinois. He was a proud veteran who served honorably in the Army, exemplifying dedication and service throughout his life.
Manuel is remembered as a devoted husband to Maryjean, nee O'Blanis. Together, they shared a life filled with support, love, and cherished moments. As a father, he leaves behind his children: Robert (Dawn) Perreira, Patricia (late Richard) Castellana, Steven (Gwen) Perreira, and Christopher (Tammy) Perreira, each of whom carry forward his legacy.
His family extends to his grandchildren: Bobby (Victoria), Nicole (Joe), Coty (Shannon), Caitlin, Michael, Daylynn, Jake (Tana), Kylie, Meghan, and Faith, who each held a special place in his heart. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Hailey, AveryJo, Vivian, Elijah, Brailynn, Grayson, and Hunter, bringing joy and pride to his life with their presence.
Manuel will be fondly remembered not only for his loving nature as a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather but also as a dear brother and uncle. The profound impact he made on the lives of those around him will remain an enduring part of their memories.
Visitation services will be held on April 30, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kosary Funeral Home, located at 9837 South Kedzie Avenue, Evergreen Park, IL 60805. A Mass in celebration of his life will take place on May 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Catholic Church, situated at 17500 84th Ave, Tinley Park, IL 60487, concluding at 12:00 PM.
