Linda L. Kruse, born on January 18, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on April 19, 2025, in Downers Grove, Illinois. She exemplified a life dedicated to both professional excellence and community service.
Linda's career spanned 33 years as a Manager at Illinois Bell, where her leadership and commitment to her work left an indelible mark. Additionally, she devoted over 20,000 hours volunteering at Good Samaritan Hospital, embodying her passion for helping others and enhancing the well-being of her community.
She received her education at St. Nicholas of Tolentine School and Lourdes High School in Chicago, institutions that laid the foundation for her lifelong pursuit of knowledge and personal growth.
Linda is remembered as a fond sister of Paul (the late Karen) Kruse and a dear aunt to Daniel (Julie) Kruse and David Kruse. She also cherished her role as a great aunt to Christina. Among her treasured relationships, Linda maintained a life-long friendship with Debbie and George Ksycki, and was affectionately known as "Aunt Linda" to Steven, Michael, Goddaughter Julie (Mark) Buehner, and Timothy.
Linda was preceded in death by her devoted parents, the late Rita (Kruse) Bowman and the late Lawrence. Her legacy will endure through the countless lives she touched, both personally and professionally.
Visitation will be held on Saturday May 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Kosary Funeral Home, located at 9837 South Kedzie Avenue, Evergreen Park, IL 60805. A Prayer Service will follow at 11:00 AM at the same location. Linda’s spirit and dedication to serving others will be honored and remembered by all who knew her.
