Kenneth Bruno Grining, 90, passed away on October 18th, 2025 at Evergreen Manor in Oshkosh Wisconsin. He was born in Chicago Illinois on June 7th, 1935, son of Reinhold and Ruth Grining.
Ken lived most his life in Chicago. He graduated high school from Luther Institute in 1953 and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. After high school Ken worked as a key punch operator for the railroad before serving in the army from 1957 to 1959.
Ken spent most his professional career as a trader. He retired from Reynolds Company as an administrative vice president at the Chicago Stock Exchange.
During Kens long life he enjoyed watching old movies, old game shows, playing piano and listening to music, his favorite being Frank Sinatra. He spent many years bowling with friends and family and enjoyed fishing on annual summer family trips in Wisconsin. Playing cards, especially Pinochle and Poker, was also a frequent favorite activity of his.
Ken is survived by his younger sister Geraldine (Terry d.2024) Lichtenberg of Oshkosh Wisconsin and his younger brother David (Eileen) Grining of Sebastian Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and a nephew, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at St Paul Lutheran Church (4660 W 94th St. Oak Lawn, IL) at noon with Reverend Dan Gensch officiating. Visitation will be held at 11:00 am until time of service. Burial will take place at Bethania Cemetery in Justice Illinois.
