Jill Ann Cunningham-Kavanagh March 2, 1966 – September 20, 2025 Evergreen Park, IL

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jill Ann Cunningham-Kavanagh, age 59, who left us peacefully on September 20, 2025, in Evergreen Park, Illinois. Jill was born on March 2, 1966, and grew up in Evergreen Park, where she created a lifetime of cherished memories.

She attended St. Bernadette’s Grammar School, Evergreen Park High School, and Columbia College Chicago. Over the years, Jill built a meaningful career in public service and customer care, working as a Human Resources Assistant with the U.S. Army Medical Recruiting Battalion, a Former Housing & Barracks Administrative Assistant for the U.S. Marine Corps in Hawaii, and later as a Guest Service Advocate Trainer at Target Corporation.

Jill was preceded in death by her loving parents, William and Marguerite Cunningham, and her beloved sister, Lynne (Bob) Welcome. She was the cherished sister of Christine Groen, Betty (Ron) Eilers, Cathy Cunningham (Chris Athy), Bill (Laura) Cunningham, Donna Collins, Nancy (Tony) Rodarte, Diane (Dave) Aalders, Maribeth (Juan) Rodela, Bobbie Halminiak, and Glenn (Nuala) Cunningham. She was a devoted and fun-loving aunt to many nieces and nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts always.

Jill was also a proud and loving dog mom to her faithful companion, Ellie, who brought her endless joy and unconditional love. Jill’s warmth, generosity, and boundless spirit touched everyone she met. Her sense of humor, resilience, and kind heart made her a joy to be around. She gave freely of herself—to family, friends, and even strangers—and left a lasting impression wherever she went.

She had a passion for thrift shopping and decorating her space with creativity and charm. Jill loved spending time with her family and traveling, always seeking out joy and adventure. Through every challenge, she showed incredible strength—she kept going, no matter what befell her.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 3:00–8:00 p.m. at Kosary Funeral Home 9837 S. Kedzie Ave Evergreen Park, IL 60805

A funeral service will take place on Friday, September 26, 2025. Guests may arrive for visitation at 9:00 a.m., and the service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
