It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jacqueline A. Lichtneckert, affectionately known as "Auntie Jackie" to many, who left us on May 25, 2026. Born on January 29, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, Jacqueline lived a rich life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering spirit that touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Jacqueline’s vibrant personality and zest for life were evident to everyone she met. She lived life to the fullest and spread joy to others, creating lasting memories through her warmth and kindness. Her presence was a beacon of light in the lives of her family and friends, who will forever cherish the moments shared with her.
A devoted wife, Jacqueline is lovingly remembered by her husband, William Lichtneckert. She was a nurturing mother to her son, Jason Lichtneckert, whose lives she shaped with her boundless love. Her roots run deep, being the cherished daughter of Raymond C. and Marie Abenante, née Bulvan. Though many of her siblings have passed before her—her brothers Raymond J., Patrick E. (alongside his late wife Lorraine), and Michael Abenante; and sister Joann (Michael) Genge —she also leaves behind Carol (the late James) Sheehy, Karen (Michael) Lucas and David (Kathy) Abenante, who along with numerous nieces and nephews remember her fondly.
Jacqueline’s family and friends gathered to honor her memory during visitation held on May 29, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kosary Funeral Home, located at 9837 South Kedzie Avenue, Evergreen Park, Illinois. Prayer Service Saturday May 30th at 10:00 AM, providing a solemn space for reflection and farewells. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery.
Her journey on earth may have concluded, but the enduring spirit of Auntie Jackie will remain engraved in the hearts of all who loved her. Her legacy of joy, compassion, and resilience continues to inspire and uplift. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, they are equally full of gratitude for having known such a remarkable woman.
Jacqueline A. Lichtneckert, your life was a gift, your memory a treasure. We will hold you close, always.
