Davy Derong, age 78, passed away on December 22, 2025. Davy was born in Ozamiz City, Philippines to the late Maximo and Zosima Derong.
Davy was a devoted husband, father and family man. He is survived by his loving wife, Lucita Derong, children: Jeffrey(Kristin), Stephen Derong and Michael Derong. He was a proud grandfather to Tara-Lynn, Matthew and Daniel Derong.
He is also survived by his siblings: Jamie Derong, Josephine Derong, Lolita Lima, Fe(Peter) Canillo and many nieces and nephews.
Davy worked for R&W for many years as a machinist. Beyond his work he enjoyed singing, especially Elvis Presley. He was known as the "Elvis of the Philippines. "He also loved DJ'ing on the side.
He was also an active member of his church.
