Barbara A. Spanos (nee Catania), age 80; cherished wife of the late John; beloved mother of Elizabeth Spanos (Tony), Christina (Michael) Rice, and Ali (Tom) Green; grandmother of Audrey, Valerie, Melissa, Lydia, Amanda, Matthew, Nicholas, Miranda, and Nicole; great-grandmother of four; loving daughter of the late Francis and Rose Catania; fond sister of Francis (Zelda) Catania, Angel Catania, Michael (Chris) Catania, Rose (Bill) Sula, and the late Isabel (late Martin) Fitzpatrick, Anthony (late Susan), Patrick (Jean) and Charles (Rita) Catania. Caring aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was a devoted parishioner, member of "Mary's Maids," daily communicant, sacristan, and eucharistic minister at Most Holy Redeemer Parish.

Visitation Sunday 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Monday 10:15 a.m. from Kosary Funeral Home, 9837 S Kedzie Avenue, to her beloved Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment Saint Mary Cemetery, Section X, Block 16, Lot 10, Grave 11.
