Aurora Mendez

Aurora Mendez, a cherished matriarch and retired beautician, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on November 19, 1948, Aurora dedicated her life to not only her beloved family but also to the art of beauty, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Aurora was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Victor Mendez, Sr. Together, they shared countless memories that enriched their lives. Aurora was proud to be the mother of three, Jeanne, Victor (Michelle) Jr., and the late Jeffrey. Her legacy shines brightly through her grandchildren, Jaden, Ethan, Natalie, Jeffrey, and Seth, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Aurora's nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family; she served as a loving babysitter to at least 11 family members throughout her life, embodying the virtues of care and kindness that defined her character. Her warmth and generosity were further reflected in her beloved hobbies, including tending to her beautiful rose garden.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Aurora's remarkable life with visitation on December 11, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kosary Funeral Home,  9837 South Kedzie Avenue,  Evergreen Park, IL. Funeral December 12, 2025, Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 AM at St. Christina Church, 11005 S Homan Ave, Chicago, IL, Interment St. Mary Cemetery.

Aurora Mendez will be remembered for her unwavering love, lasting impact, and the beautiful legacy she has left behind in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who were privileged to know her.
