Ann Marie Belter

Ann Marie Belter (Petrozz), 66, of Chicago Ridge, Illinois, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Tuesday September 2nd in the evening, after a valiant fought 2nd battle against breast cancer.

Ann was born on May 8th, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois and grew up there. She graduated from Bogan High School in 1977 and graduated from St. Xavier’s University. Over the years she worked at Herman’s Sporting Goods, American General Finance, AIG, Spring Leaf, One Main Financial and the Chicago Ridge Park District part time.

Ann bowled for about 40 years. Bowling has brought a majority of Ann and Ed’s friendships and people they call(ed) family into their lives. She bowled in Saturday night mixed leagues and Wednesday night ladies at many bowling alleys throughout the South Chicagoland suburbs.

Ann was married to Ed for almost 42 years (September 10th). She loved to travel- has been on over 50 cruises and has visited Las Vegas so many times we’ve lost count. She also loved to shop - always searching for that deal or next gift for loved ones. She loved being a wife, a mom, a Nana, a sister, an aunt, and a friend.

Ann is survived by her husband, Ed, only daughter Jennifer (Peter) Spreadbury, and only granddaughter Ella Spreadbury. Her two sister’s Janet (Al) Sord, and Sandy (Jack) King.

Her five sister-in-law’s Linda (Bill) Heide, Becky Lapins, Sandy (the late Al) Vahl, and Judy (Ken) Tanner and Laura O’Donnell.. Her two brother-in-law’s Jeff (Marsha) Vahl, the late John Belter. Her two cats Smokey and Blackie. So so many nieces and nephews and was a dear friend to many.

Visitation is Friday September 5th, 2025 at Kosary Funeral Home, 9837 South Kedzie Avenue, Evergreen Park, IL 60805 from 3-8 pm.

Funeral on Saturday September 6th Visitation 9 am Service at 10 am at Kosary Funeral Home.

She will be buried at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, 6001 W 111th Place Alsip,IL Section 21 Block 14 Lot 2.
