to Kathie's family and friends,

I knew her a long time and will remember her laughter and wit, her children and grand children were always very important to her and she treasured them all.

Remember the good times as I will and know she is not only pain free but free, she will always be fondly remembered by me. God bless her soul and all of you.

I was a classmate of your mom's at Hometown School and Oak Lawn High School. We were friends, but not close. I am thankful to have been able to re-connect with her through FB. I am so sorry to hear about her passing. I hope the many expressions of sympathy will help to reinforce your knowledge that she touched so many lives in such a positive way that people remember her well, even, as in my case, nearly half a century later. May these messages, as well as God's grace, sustain you in your time of sorrow.

We were Kathie's next door neighbors in her first house in Evergreen Park. Our kids spent ten years growing up with her kids, in our house and in hers. When she moved to California for a time, our kids demanded that we take a road trip to California so they could visit. The boys were in scouts together and the girls were inseparable, especially our Emily and her Amanda! Twenty-five years later and they still stay in touch across the country. She was creative and loved to bake stuff for the kids to snack on. She was a big part of our kids growing up years and spent many hours on the driveway with Chris in the summer months sunning on lawn chairs with their feet in the kids pool watching the kids race back and forth on their hot wheels! She will be fondly remembered and missed by all of us.

Kathie was an old friend of mine. We kept up through the years with Christmas cards We went though the Little Grey School House, Gaddis, Hometown, and Oak Lawn High School together. She lived on Main Street, I lived on Ryan Road; just around the block. In high school we became best of friends. Kathie, Sarah, and I had many great times & laughs together. During high school when Kathie worked at Wimpy's in Evergreen Plaza she would give me free food and rip up the tickets! In 1973 I lived in Memphis; Kathie and Sarah drove down to visit me. We went to Elvis Presley's Graceland and got yelled at for trying to ring his doorbell! In those days you could walk right past the gate. I am so sorry for the loss of your mother and grandmother. I know she will be missed.

Richard my sincere condolences to you and your family. May your mom rest in peace. There are no words that will make this pain any lesser but know that I am thinking about you and your family and praying that the pain of not having her here becomes less and less and that memories serve you as consolation.

Thank you so much everyone for your kind words and support during this nightmare month. It really helped us keep our sanity. My mother was very fortunate to have such caring and dedicated friends, some of which we haven't seen for decades. True friendships truly have no bounds.
